He is the immediate past Director of Digital Audio for Gannett || USA Today Network and Gatehouse Media, two of the largest newspaper publishers in the United States, where he constructed and was responsible for audio ecosystem strategy and audio PL.
Connolly’s innovative approach to programming and early adoption of streaming audio has led to an impactful career in creating value for brands and companies. In addition to the publishing industry, Connelly created 24-hour streaming radio stations for large, custom, international clothing retailers, a worldwide pioneering music group and the Alpha Boys School Radio for the Alpha Institute in Kingston.
Rob’s background in commercial and community media extends from securing broadcast licenses for over the air radio and television, to hosting, engineering, marketing and sales. One of his proudest achievements is having originated and performed over 350 episodes of “The Gourmet Lounge”, radio’s first musical-cooking-variety-show.
