Time spent streaming increased by 58% since before the coronavirus pandemic, as has tolerance for ad supported streaming

A Deloitte study reported in June that the amount of time people spent streaming in Q4 2019 increased by 58 percent compared to the previous year. Europe and the Americas drove this figure, with 64 percent and 63 percent increases, respectively. Deloitte found that subscribers in the US have accounts with an average of four streaming video services. This is up from three in the last, pre-COVID report.
